  For reference: My boyfriend has lived here for 7 years (in three different apartments) and I have lived here for 3, and for very good reasons. Oella is very clean, and has beautiful apartments. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. They are always open to suggestions. You can tell they care not just about the building, but its residents. Gym has great equipment and kept well. There is a library/study room that's always clean and quiet. Great community. Walkable to Historic Main Street. Our family and friends always comment that the building in general looks like a hotel! Only reason we moved out is because we bought real estate.

  I love this place! It is more expensive than where I have lived before, but it is worth it. It helps that the air conditioning and heat are included in the rent. I also save money because they have a nice two level gym, so I was able to cancel my gym membership. No pool, but the Patapsco River is there and you can go in to swim or do tubing. It is such a lovely, scenic place and you are surrounded by historic homes. I also feel very safe here. You have to badge in, and if you get a parking garage, that is very convenient. The staff is very helpful and fun. They have wine parties, and during the blizzard, they had a Movie night for us. I cannot imagine another apartment complex in the area that I would rather live in. In addition, Main St Ellicott City is right down the road!

  My husband and I moved here three years ago, and I used to love living here. However, my opinion has gone from five stars to one star ever since the office staff changed about a year ago. Since then it seems like they only let loud annoying people live here. My one neighbor screams at the top of his lungs every time he watches football, or him and his girlfriend fight, or he has sex. My other neighbor plays heavy metal to the point that the walls are thumping at 9pm on a Sunday night. When I call to complain, I'm told that there's nothing that can be done, even though I pay $2,000 a month to live in a quiet apartment. Then I'm told that I should go to the library if I want it quiet. I no longer recommend this apartment, and in fact we'll be moving out very shortly.

  I lived in this apartment for 18 months and can not say a single bad thing about the place. The staff are amazing and all very friendly, helpful, and professional. They really show that they appreciate you by giving small gifts or hosting parties for their residents. I always felt very safe in and around the property. The backyard is beautiful and a great place to relax on a nice day. The apartment is very clean and quiet as well. The maintenance staff is very helpful and quick to arrive when needed. It was great having someone always at the front desk for any questions and to pick up packages. There are bike lockers (free) and storage units (monthly fee) offered for added space which is an added bonus. The price was expensive but I felt that it was worth it for the quality of service. Also, all utilities are included so that helped.
